Continual progress is being made on the AvalonX site concept, now under the name NBX-OO; NoBoX: Taking Object Oriented out of the box. Along with the new name and the direction progress has been taking the project has also managed to evolve into something new and expanded. Along with the base libraries and development platform a group of other projects are being developed on top of the growing system to test and debug functionality as well as to ensure the usefulness of the system as not only an interface but also as a self development tool. These projects will be on the Development Page as soon as they are at an appropriate stage of completion.

In the last few months a great deal of progress has been made on the new site concept and the demo version is linked off of the Development community page. It's still full of quite a few bugs and needs a lot of fixes so be warned before you try it out. I know a lot of people have misgivings concerning Java applets but I feel that with the proper engineering many of the problems can be easily avoided. As always comments, suggestions, and complaints are more than welcome either for discussion on the forum or by email to the admin.
More progress notes concerning the previous post offering hosting and such. Two more people have joined AvalonX. Firstly a long time friend and the owner of Dreamscripts has joined me to assist in developing a promising software package which will use the code developed for the above mentioned site concept as a graphical frontend. Secondly the webmaster of MyShadowLand has joined up to develop a community site directed at up and coming developers and designers. A temporary page should be up and linked within the next few weeks if all goes well.
A final note of warning. Recently there have been some troubles with spammers and ad bots posting to the forums but hopefully this will remedied shortly. In the meantime forgive the spam posts and any growing pains experienced during whatever changes need to be done to solve this issue.

Suffice it to say that it has been quite a while since the last update with little to know progress having been made due to personal life distractions and other occurances here at AvalonX. However a new direction for both AvalonX as well as the AvalonX Community concept is currently under development (along with what seems a thousand other projects; please bear with me). The development concept will be functioning live off of the Development community page shortly. Comments, suggestions, and complaints are more than welcome either for discussion on the forum or by email to the admin. Here's hopeing for the best!
Also as a side note, do to the sheer amount of projects i'm either currently working on, planning to be working on, or just plain letting become stagnant due to either distraction and/or lack of time any interest in assisting with the site, working on a current project, or adding new projects/sites to the community in general is more than welcome. Feel free to drop me an email and i'm sure something could definately be arranged!

This site as well as other sites in the AvalonX Community are currently being updated to at least a stable working state. Once everything is up and functional further design and development of the sites will continue. Until then however desired design changes are being put on hold. Hopefully they won't be on hold for too long though.
